What the job involves: 

  • Produce/define 2D CAD drawings of wiring harnesses to the relevant ISO standards. 
  • Liaise and build relationships with chassis manufacturers to integrate our products via CANBUS control.
  • Respond to technical enquiries and technically assist with Sales Order Process.
  • Design effective solutions enabling the application of our product range within the ever changing commercial vehicle market.
  • Produce 3D CAD schemes and from them produce 2D CAD drawings to relevant ISO standards.
  • Liaise with production personnel to achieve completion of production and prototype machines.  Including hands on ability to modify or improve electrical harnessing.

About you: 

  • Intermediate automotive electrical engineering, able to define automotive electrical connections, trace wiring and signals back to source and practically and via schematics/body builder information skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of automotive electronics and CAN-based control systems and software.
  • Hands on experience to be able to manually modify and create electrical harnesses.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK & overseas at short notice to assist with urgent technical problems.
