What the job involves: 

  • A test engineer in the field of engineering responsible for designing, implementing and conducting tests on various products, systems or components to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. This includes acceptance testing such as engine cooling, hydraulic testing, noise and performance testing. 
  • Play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of products through rigorous testing and analysis.
  • Verify expected outcomes from the simulation environment strengthening the link between the simulation and real environment.
  • Contribute to the development process by identifying and addressing issues early on, thus minimizing the risk of defects or failures in the final product.
  • Software testing on a vehicle, specifically function testing, involves verifying the proper functioning of software systems embedded in various components of the vehicle.
  • Supporting one working with the software engineers to develop test scripts.

About you: 

  • A high level of test equipment competence, accuracy, objectivity, data logging and calibration skills are essential.
  • Interest in and knowledge of control systems.
  • Drive, energy and determination and commitment to coordinate multi task projects, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work within multi-disciplined teams.
  • Good communication skills.
