Bucher encourages early engineering interest with school visit  | Bucher Municipal | United Kingdom

Bucher Municpal collaborative partnership with local school

As part of our ongoing support and relationship with St Martin’s Primary School in Dorking we invited its STEM club students to visit the factory in June and see real-world engineering in practice. This was a huge success with the children being very keen and excited to see our state-of-the-art facility.

Our next initiative was to judge the school’s ‘Robot Wars’ competition in July. Their robots had been accessorized through the generous gift of two 3D printers which Bucher municipal donated to the school back in January of this year .

Every team did well and although there were no overall winners in the end, each team created something to display and enjoyed bashing their robots into the others and trying to destroy their competitors’ machines.

A massive thank you has been passed on from the school for all our efforts to organise a safe and enjoyable visit, and for the 3D printers which are supporting the students in their STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths).
